Leroy Nelson Pipkins, Sr., 78, of Albany, GA, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020 at his residence. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 2pm at Evergreen Baptist Church in Worth County. Rev. Todd Brooks will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Leroy was born on March 5, 1942, in Leesburg, AL, to the late Willie and Exerlee Pipkins. He had resided in Albany since 1986. His life long family trade was a Glazier. These skills were taught to him by his father at a young age. He is owner of Lee County Glass and Mirror. Leroy is a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He treasured time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of forty two years, Marie K. Pipkins of Albany, GA, a son Nelson Pipkins (Donna) of Pensacola, FL, and their son Austin, daughter Teresa Pipkins of Columbus, GA, and her children Donald (Jessica), Ashley (Chris), and Amber, and great grandchildren Kennedy, Mackenzie, Aaden, Brennan, Finn, Grayson, and Emma, a son Les Pipkins (Terese) of Lee County and their daughter Rachel (Gill), daughter Amanda Pipkins Dublin (Brian) of Ballground, GA, and their children Riley, Sydney, Annina, Michael, Thomas, and Sadie, a daughter Samantha Story Gay of Worth County, GA and her children Sawyer and Savannah, a daughter Jennifer Story (Brad Henningfeld) of Worth County and her son Stevie, and several nieces and nephews.
