Lee Gene Kierce

Lee Gene Kierce, 80, of Albany, GA, died July 28, 2013 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Dr. Ronald R. Baxley and Norman Denney will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

He was a native of Sale City, GA, born to C.R. and Rosie Kierce and grew up in Albany, GA. Mr. Kierce was employed with Gravely Tractor Company, M & M Mars and retired from the City of Albany's Public Works Department. He was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Brazel.

Survivors include his son, Tony Kierce of Griffin, GA, a daughter and her husband, Lawana and Tom Frey of Green Cove Springs, FL, his grandchildren, Ami Fletcher of Orange Park, FL, Lacy Frazier of Green Cove Springs, FL, Brandon (Brooke) Kierce of Valdosta, GA and Matt Kierce of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, his great-grandchildren, Taylor Greeson, Cortnie Frazier, Nathan Frazier, Brody Carter, Kierce Screen and Sayla Grace Kierce, two sisters, Helen Butler and Christine Kierce both of Albany, GA.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Tuesday at Mathews Funeral Home.
