Lavonia Corrine (Sissy) Vanzant

Lavonia Corrine (Sissy) Vanzant, 76, of Leesburg, GA, died Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Dawson Health and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

Born in Worth Co., GA she had resided in Albany, GA most all of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira B. Vanzant and Lillie Smith Vanzant, five brothers, Ira Fulton Vanzant, Milton S. Vanzant, Glenn P. Vanzant, Ronald Ray Vanzant, Henry Royal Vanzant and a sister, Dorothy Marie Clinard.

Survivors include a sister, Peggy V. Roberts and her husband, Burton, Leesburg, GA, twelve nephews, Keith Roberts, Sean Roberts, Michael Clinard, David Clinard, Jerry Clinard, Don Vanzant, Lamar Vanzant, Wallace Vanzant, Ronald Vanzant, Glenn Vanzant, Gary Vanzant, James Vanzant and four nieces, Bunny Wilson, Raynelle Smith, Gail Vanzant and Renee Vanzant.

The family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at Mathews Funeral Home.
