Lauren Hodges Phillips

Lauren Hodges Phillips, 66, of Lee County, GA, died March 6, 2025 at The Willson Hospice House. A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.

Lauren was born in Albany, GA on March 29, 1958 to Shelby and Hilda Hodges. She grew up in Albany, GA, graduated from Westover High School in 1976 and The University of Georgia in 1980.

Lauren was employed with the family business, Hodges Office Equipment for many years before joining the staff at Lee State Prison. She retired after as Deputy Warden of Care and Treatment. Lauren attended St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, loved the beach and working in her yard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Emma Phillips.

Survivors include her husband, Eric Phillips and a daughter, Blakely (Shane) Phillips all of Lee County, GA, a step-son, Jeremy (Jennifer) Wages of Lee County, GA, two sisters, Gayle Hodges of Port St. Joe, FL and Rives Sexton of New Orleans, LA, her grandchildren, Kolby Phillips, Kaleb Phillips and Eden Phillips all of Lee County, GA, nieces, Adrianne Colyer (Tom) of Kingston Upon Thames, England and Claire Sexton (Zach Marshall) of London, England and two first cousins, Tard (Lisa) Wright of Albany, GA and Leslie Samford of Duluth, GA.
