Larry E. Winchester

Larry E. Winchester, 58, of Albany, GA, died October 3, 2016 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 6:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Daryl Salter and Rev. Conrad Salter will officiate.

A native of Milton, FL, Larry moved to Albany, GA when he was 14 years old. After serving in the United States Navy, Larry came back to Albany and was employed with Slaughter Paint and Body for fifteen years. He enjoyed being with his family and working in his shop at home. He was preceded in death by a child, Christopher Winchester and his father, Julian Winchester.

Survivors include his four children, Christina Pope and her husband, Ed and Wendy David and her husband, Joey all of Leesburg, GA, Andrew Winchester of Savannah, GA and Michael Winchester of Albany, GA, his mother, Bobbie Winchester of Albany, GA, his ex-wife and the mother of his children, Elaine Winchester of Albany, GA, his siblings, Barbie Salter and her husband, Daryl of Leesburg, GA and Scott Winchester of Albany, GA and two grandchildren, Kaleb David and Zoey David of Leesburg, GA.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Mathews Funeral Home.
