Larry Don Russell

Larry Don Russell, 72, of Leesburg, GA. died Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Phoebe North Hospital. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Gutierrez and Rev. Linda Gutierrez will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery.

A native of Habersham, TN., Mr. Russell had resided in Leesburg, GA. since 1979 moving from Michigan. He had served in the Army and was retired from General Motors ( Delco Remy ) as a machinist. After retirement he worked with his son John L. Russell at Russell Service Company. He was of the Protestant faith.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis L. Russell, Leesburg, GA., two sons, Sabin D. Russell and John L. Russell (Teresa) all of Leesburg, GA., two daughters, Rebecca Russell Houston (Christopher), Columbus, GA., Rachel Russell Cherry (Daniel), Leesburg, GA., a brother, Dennis Russell, Durham, NC., two sisters, June Reinbold, Charlotte, NC., Marilyn Miller, Grosse-Ile, MI, eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
