Lana Dione Creel

Lana Dione Creel, 54, of Valdosta, GA, died December 8, 2023 at Willson Hospice House in Albany, GA.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at  Mathews Funeral Home.  Rev. Matthew Schluckebier will officiate.  Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Dione was born on April 12, 1969 in Biloxi, MS to James G. Creel, Jr. and Ruby Jo Smith.  She had lived in Thomasville, GA for thirty-six years and more recently in Valdosta.  Dione was dedicated at the Eighth Avenue Church of God.

Survivors include her father, James G. (Joyce) Creel, Jr. of Meigs, GA, her mother, Ruby Jo Smith of Leesburg, GA, a brother, James G. (April) Creel, III of Jacksonville, FL, a step-brother, John (Dana) Morris of Barnesville, GA, two step-sisters, Beth (Stacey) Middleton of Moultrie, GA and Yvonne (Blake) Cone of Meigs, GA, a niece, Alice Creel and a nephew, Austin Creel both of Jacksonville, FL.

The family would like to thank the Brookview Terrace Home of Valdosta, GA for all their love and care of Dione for the last ten years.
