Lake Haden Ellis

Lake Haden Ellis, 96, of Albany, GA, died September 7, 2017 at Wynfield Park Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy Hagadorn will officiate. Interment will follow at Floral Memory Gardens.

A native of Ellijay, GA, born on October 20, 1920, Mr. Ellis moved to Baker County, GA with his family at age five and then to Albany, GA in 1930.  He served his country in the United States Army Air Corps and served during World War II.  Mr. Ellis was the manager of Mayfair Mobile Home Park for many years and he was a member of  the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 2785. He was preceded in death by a son William Eugene Ellis.

Survivor include his wife Johnnie Ellis of Sylvester, GA, his children, Louise Weathersby, Marie Wilkerson, Dewey Ellis, Johnny D. Ellis, and Cindy Dietzel and a sister, Ouida Thompson all of Albany, GA,

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Mathews Funeral Home.
