Kitty Powell Cole

Mrs. Kitty Cole, age 74, went to be with Jesus, May 22, 2018. 

Kitty was born in Worth County on February 17, 1944 and grew up in Waycross, Ga. She was the oldest of four children (Jerry, (deceased), Jack and Joe) born to the late Oris Lee and Helen Ruth Hancock Powell.

She was a retired Teacher having spent more than 30 years in the classroom with her most recent years at Robert Cross Middle School teaching Computer Education. She was an active member of Gillionville Baptist Church, the Friendship Sunday School Class and faithfully served on the Table Decorating Committee for the monthly Senior Adult Luncheon. The greatest joy of her life was the privilege of serving others by writing cards, making telephone calls, baking cakes, pies, cookies and candy.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Larry W. Cole of Leesburg, Ga. plus two children, Larry (Dell), Jr. (wife Michelle) and their three children, Jacie, Carter, and Cason of Macon Ga. and a daughter Wendy Helen of Atlanta, Ga.
