Kimmie Marie Hatcher

Kimmie Marie Hatcher of Albany, Georgia passed away at the age of 65 on December 16, 2024 at the Willson Hospice House. Memorial Servies will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home. Dr. Butch Knight will officiate.

Born in Albany, GA, on August 18, 1959 to the late Ralph Eugene and Donnie Lou Carter, she grew up in Atlanta and moved back to Albany when she met Erwin. Kimmie embraced her role as a homemaker with grace, dedicating her life to her family and the creation of a warm and loving home. Her passions included fishing, tending to her plants, and enjoying camping trips at Cotton Hill. Kimmie had an insatiable love for life and for those she held dear, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Amy Lucretia Hatcher Unruh, and her siblings: Linda Finnicum, Judy Ruch, Dianne Letsworth, C.L. Harden, and Janice Funderburk. 

Kimmie is survived by her devoted husband of forty-eight years, Erwin D. Hatcher, of Albany, Georgia; her daughter, Stacey Samson (Fred Meyer), of Baconton, Georgia; and her cherished grandchildren, Branden Davis (Sarah Yarley), Billy Joe Samson Jr., and Bentley Luke Samson and numerous nieces and nephews. 

The family will have a visitation on Sunday from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Mathews Funeral Home.
