Kimberly (Kim) Layfield

Kimberly (Kim) Layfield, 38, of Seattle, WA, formerly of Albany, GA, died May 30, 2012. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Dr. Jeffery Spicer will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery

A native of Albany, GA, Kim grew up on Nelms Road and graduated from Riverview Academy in 1992. She lived in Vermont before moving to Seattle ten years ago. Kim was a dental assistant and was formerly employed with Roosevelt Dental Center. She was an organ donor, a member of the First Southern Methodist Church of Albany and the 35th Street Acting Group.

Survivors include her parents, Carol and Roy Layfield, a brother, Michael Layfield, her maternal grandmother, Freda Cochran and her paternal grandmother, Myrtle Layfield all of Putney, GA, two aunts and two uncles, Sheilah Holland and her husband, Joey of Baconton, GA, Anita Mathis of Albany, GA and Earl Layfield of Putney, GA.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
