Kenneth (Kenny) Wade Varner

Kenneth W. (Kenny) Varner, 46, of Lee County, GA, died November 17, 2012 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Paul will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of Cocoa Beach, FL, Kenny grew up in Albany, GA and had resided in Worth County, GA before moving to Lee County twelve years ago. He was a self employed sheet metal mechanic. Kenny loved to fish and hunt.

Survivors include his sons, Randy Etheredge of Atlanta, GA, Joey Varner and his wife, Jessie of Cordele, GA, Matt Varner and Brandon Varner both of Worth County, GA, a grandson, Jake Varner of Cordele, GA, his father, Jimmy Varner of Griffin, GA, two sisters, Brenda Strenth of Leesburg, GA and Gail Webb and her husband, Michael of Bradeton, FL, two brothers, Michael Varner and his wife, Karen of Griffin, GA and Tim Varner and his wife, Samantha of Charlotte, NC, three step-sisters, Kristie Sullivan and her husband, Mike of McDonough, GA, Jan Lewis and her husband, Kevin of Griffin, GA and Jill Duecker and her husband, Scott of Thomaston, GA, a step-brother, Chris Lowe of Thomaston, GA, the mother of his children, Tammi Varner of Worth County, GA and his step-father, Gene Cannon of Americus, GA. He was preceded in death by his mother Mae Helen Cannon.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Mathews Funeral Home.
