Kenneth Wayne Hailey, Master GySgt USMC (Ret.), passed on July 13, 2017. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of forty three years, Diane and his two daughter, Heidi and Vera, son in laws, David and Eric and his cats. Ken had a very special place for neighbor Rachel Tippins and thought of her as one of his own children. Ken was born on October 23rd, the son of Eugene and Donna Hailey in Washburn, North Dakota. He began his Marine Career in July 1973. After graduation from boot camp in October, Ken was transferred to 29 Palms California for ground radio repair school. It was there that Ken met the love of his life, Pvt. Diane Von Glahn who was in school with him. Ken and Diane served together until their 1st child Heidi came along at Camp Lejeune North Carolina. Ken made the Marine Corps his career of twenty six years and later worked aboard the Albany Logistic Base as a civilian. Ken will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. He was always ready to helpsomeone and was a true friend. Ken was truly one of the few and the proud. At the request of Kenneth Wayne Hailey, no service will take place.
