Kelly Jo Hancock

Kelly Jo Hancock, 73, of Mitchell County, GA, died March 18, 2019 at her residence.  Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home.  Rev. Warren Rogers will officiate.  Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Kelly was born in Port Wentworth, GA on November 28, 1945 to the late Gibson and Mary Ruth Cornwell.  She grew up in Fitzgerald, GA and graduated from Fitzgerald High School.  She attended College at Norman Park and moved to Albany, GA in 1965.

Kelly was employed with Lowes for over twenty five years and retired in 2017.  She was a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church and the Shining Lights Sunday School Class. 

Survivors include her husband, Leonard C. Hancock of Mitchell County, GA, a daughter and her husband, Jerilyn and Warren Rogers, a sister, Martha Gibson Cornwell of Tallahassee, Fl. and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM before the service at Mathews Funeral Home.
