Kathleen Maiden Lawson

Kathleen Maiden Lawson, age 86, of Oakfield passed away Friday, February 23, 2024, surrounded by her family.  Kathleen was born in Whitley County, Kentucky she was a daughter of the late George Craig Maiden and the late Georgia Ann Sears Maiden. She married her late husband Carl Kearny Lawson, Sr. Kathleen was a Navy wife, and they settled their family in Sylvester, GA after retirement. Kathleen also known as Granny, was a good mama, mother -in- law and grandmother. Granny had a great time wherever she went and who was with her.  She loved being outdoors whether she was fishing or feeding the fish, gardening, feeding her birds and spending time with her family.  Survivors include her children Sherri Lawson Hammett and companion Josh Pierre of LA; Carl Lawson, Jr. and wife Vickie of PA; Duane Lawson and wife Pat of Oakfield; Karlene Whiddon and husband Greg of Sylvester; James Lawson and wife Carla of Hoschton; Tina Zeigler and husband Scott of Moultrie. She has fifteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
