Katherine W. Leber

Katherine W. Leber, 83, of Terrell County, GA, died May 17, 2018.  Mrs. Leber was born in Krypton, KY on August 16, 1934 to Walter and Gracie Whitehead.  She grew up in Kentucky, the oldest of her 9 siblings and was a longtime resident of Old Church, VA before moving in with her daughter in GA.  She was a homemaker, avid gardener and a matriarch to her own family and a whole community of neighborhood kids who loved her dearly.

 She is preceded in death by her loving husband Cleveland, her parents and her sister, Juanita with survivors including her children, Kathie McGee (Marvin) of Terrell County, GA, Crystal Worsham (Doug) of Mechanicsville, VA, Angela Leber (fiancé Jeff ) of Clarksville, IN. She had 7 grandchildren which she adored: Michelle (Roger), Marvin Jr. (Thea), Robert, Michael (Heather), Melissa, Kayla (Wil) and Vincent, 4 great grandchildren and 3 great, great, grandchildren.  Also surviving her are 8 siblings: Raymond, Carl, James, Billy Ray, Walter Jr, Roxie, Hazel and Estill.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Wednesday May, 23 2018, at Mathews Funeral Home in Albany, GA with funeral services to follow at 11:00AM. Graveside funeral services will commence at Washington Memorial Cemetery in Sandston, VA on May 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM.
