Karen Joyce Creech
On Wednesday, April 8, 2015, Karen Joyce Creech, 72, of Putney, GA, made the journey home for a joyous reunion with her Lord and Savior, and her loved ones who made the journey before her. Karen was born in West Palm Beach, FL, but moved to Albany in 1957. She will be loved and remembered by all who knew her as a wife, mother, and grandmother of unwavering faith. We will always miss the smile that brought joy, love, and peace to us in the darkest storms of our lives. However, we can take joy in knowing that she left these gifts inside each of us she left behind.
She was survived by four daughters, Tammy Rosario, of Alexandria, VA, Carol (Terry) Daughtry, of Sylvester, Kim Landin (Jeff Webb), of Albany, and Angel (Rick) Leatherberry of Valdosta. She had ten grandchildren: Kimberly (Emory), Savannah, Matthew, Andrew, Alex, Adam, Olivia, Brian, Camryn, and Katie, as well as three great grandchildren, Jesse, Dylan, and Selena.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Dell Creech, two brothers, Bill Creech Jr and Dr. Earl Creech, and the late Frank "Deputy Dawg" Sumner.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 11 from the Chapel at Crown Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
