Karen Frances Berry

Karen F. Berry, 79, of Albany, GA went to be with our Lord on Monday, November 20, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, GA. Mr. Ross Powell will officiate. Born in Columbus, GA, Mrs. Berry was a graduate of Albany High School in 1955 and had resided in Albany, GA most of her adult life. In recent years she has been a resident at Lee County Nursing Home. She leaves behind many dear friends there. She retired from R.L. Polk as a graphic artist and District Sales Manager at their locations throughout Georgia and Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carey C. Poyner and Fannie Belle Poyner, husband, Curtis L. Berry, daughter, Valerie McGouirck, and brother-in-law, Lynn Mitchell. Survivors include a son, Curtis C. Berry and his wife Angie, Albany, GA, daughter, Vivian L. Ivie, one sister, Wanda Mitchell, one brother, Delanoe Poyner and his wife, Barbara, grandchildren, Felicia Floyd, Valene Edwards, Vickie VerHoef, Michael Ivie, nine great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, her niece, Angela Brown and her husband Stan, their daughter Rene, Albany, GA, and many other nieces and nephews throughout Georgia. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to services at the atrium of Sherwood Baptist Church.
