June Lamar Knight

June Lamar Knight, 88, of Milton, FL formerly Albany, GA, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Baptist Health Hospital In Pensacola, FL. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 30,2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Chuck Smith and Rev. Melvin Slappey will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral memory Gardens Cemetery.

Born in Leesburg, GA, Mr. Knight had resided in Albany, GA most all of his adult life until moving to Milton, FL three years ago. He was an electrical contractor and was employed at MCLB until his retirement .Mr. Knight was a member of Kinchafoonee Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy Lewis Knight, Florrie Bell Johnson, wife, Billie Jean Barfield Knight, daughter, Deloris Underwood and a brother, Jerry Knight.

Survivors include his daughters, Teresa Knight Purvis (Wayne) and Donna Garcia (Chris) all of Milton, FL, brother, Gene Knight (Sue), Albany, GA, grandchildren, Brenda Maddox, Davis Ellis, Kristy and Jeremy Heard, Paul and Stacy Golden, Terry Norris, Scott Golden, Amanda Rusk, Ashley Hall and Cody Kalawaia, twenty great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 29, 2024 at Mathews Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
