Julia Ramona King

Julia Ramona King, 88, of Albany, GA, died May, 13, 2024 at her son’s residence.  Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Crown Hill Cemetery.  Gail Morrill will officiate.

Julia was born in Missouri Valley, IA on October 18, 1935 to Tom and Nellie Kos.  She grew up there and graduated from High School.  When she was twenty-four, she moved to Las Vegas, NV and was employed there until 1970 and moved to Albany, GA.

 Julia was employed with Coats and Clark, Miller Brewery and was a bus driver with the Dougherty County School System.  She was a member of Beacon Baptist Church, baked Wedding Cakes and was a very talented artist and a member of the Georgia Artists Guild of Albany.  In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Marion C. King, Jr., her daughter, Missy Baty and her siblings, Francis Riley, Opal Feige, Jess Wright, Bess Lakes, Bertha Parker, Tom Kos and Johnny Kos.

Survivors include her children, Butch (Nanci) Felthauser of Albany, GA and Theresa Gilmore of The Villages, FL, five grandchildren, Erin Baty of Asheville, NC, Alex (Brittany) Felthauser of Adel, GA, Kara (Roger) Brown of Carrolton, GA, Amanda Messer of Cullowhee, NC and Joshua (Dayna) Felthauser of Bridgeboro, GA and three great-grandchildren, Ava Brown, Grayson Cook and Khaleb Felthauser.
