Julia Frances Jones

Julia Frances "JuJu" Jones, 85, of Albany, GA, died December 31, 2016 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM at Crown Hill Cemetery. Pastor Josh Copron and Pastor Jason Spears will officiate.

Born in Thomasville, GA to the late Chovine Cantey Pace and Julia Wooten Pace, Mrs. Jones moved to Albany, GA with her family at the age of six. She graduated from Albany High School in 1948. Mrs. Jones attended Auburn University where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and married Paul A. Jones, Jr. in 1951.

Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and office manager for the family business, Albany Appraisal Service. She was a member of Providence Church. JuJu had many interests, but her love of the Lord, family and friends where her most cherished. Over the years, she was involved in many Bible Studies and loved learning and sharing God's word. She loved people, playing bridge and meeting her friends each week for lunch was something she truly enjoyed.

Survivors include her husband of sixty five years, Paul A. Jones, Jr. of Albany, GA, two daughters, Elaine Jones Stead and her husband, Maury and Allison Jones Kerley and her husband, Gene all of Marietta, GA, six grandchildren, Jason (Nancy) Myler of Albany, GA, Reece Stead (Brandy) of Roswell, GA, Paul (Leslee) Stead of Moody, AL, Pace (Maegan) Stead of Great Falls, MT, Joseph Eugene (Erin) Kerley of Kennesaw, GA and Karrie Kerley Pratt of Canton, GA and thirteen great-grandchildren, Bryce Clenney, Mabry Myler, Payton Pratt, Gavin Pratt, Madeline Kerley, Dylan Kerley, Sawyer Stead, Austin Stead, Addie Stead, Anna Pace Stead, Emery Stead, Ellis Stead and Saylor Grace Stead.
