Joyce M. Wetherbee

Joyce M. Wetherbee, 80, of Albany, GA died Thursday, October 12, 2023 at her residence.  A visitation will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 6:30 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.

Born in Seminole County, GA to William and Dora Fiveash Mims, Joyce graduated from Seminole County High School in 1960.  After High School she attended Georgia Southwestern College and received her Registered Nursing degree.  Joyce moved to Albany, GA in 1963 and was employed as a Registered Nurse with Dr. James Martin and Dr. Dan Bateman.  She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

Survivors include her husband, James Roland Wetherbee of Albany, GA, her brother, Willard Mims, and sister, Barbara Stewart both of Donalsonville, GA, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial donations to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at 212 N. Jefferson Street, Albany, GA 31701.
