Joyce L. Stewart

Joyce Lucille Stewart, 87, of Albany, GA passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019 at her residence.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm at Crown Hill Mausoleum Chapel.  

Born in Wichita Falls, TX, to the late John and Dorothy Robinson, Joyce attended Little Creek Boarding School in Knoxville TN. There she met her future sister in law and best friend Frances Stewart. She lived in many parts of the US due to military life and settled in Albany in 1971. In her 50’s she returned to school where she obtained her Lpn nursing license and she devoted the next 23 years to the patients she loved at Palmyra nursing home. She retired in her 70’s then devoted her remaining years to her grandchildren and great grandchildren

Survivors include two daughters Linda (Ed) McIntosh of Lee County and Debbie (Lex) Dorminey of Albany, GA, a son Barry (Becky) Stewart of VA, three grandchildren Erin (Andy) Crain of NC, Jennifer (Danilo) Cruz of Albany, GA, and Ashley (Parker) Huskey of Albany, GA, two great grandchildren Avery Crain and Daviel Cruz, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
