Joyce Marie Newman

Joyce M. Newman of Albany, GA, died Monday, December 19, 2011 at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta, GA. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. Interment will follow at Kimball Methodist Cemetery, Doerun, GA.

Joyce was born on April 12, 1934 in Worth Co., GA, and had lived most of her life in Albany, GA. She was employed at Miller Brewing Company and was a member of Victory Tabernacle Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Newman was preceded in death by her father M.C. Littleton, her mother Clemmie Lucille Walker Littleton, a sister Wava Johnson, a son, Terry Landis Mitchell.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Newman of Albany, GA, two daughters, Shari Broach and husband, Lance of Smiths Station, AL and Toni Newman of Albany, GA, two sons, Billy Weir of Albany, GA , Gary Mitchell and his wife of LaFayette, GA, a brother, Curtis Littleton of Tallahassee, FL, nephew and his wife, Joey and Cherri Johnson of Roanoke, VA, niece, Tommie Lynn Johnson of Roanoke, VA, eleven grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
