Joy B. "MiMi" Dutton, 70, of Albany, GA, died May 28, 2016 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Albany, GA. Dr. William E. (Butch) Knight, Jr. will officiate. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Interment services will follow at 3:00 PM at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA.
A native of Donalsonville, GA, born to the late Leon and B.B. Barber, Mrs. Dutton grew up in Donalsonville, GA and graduated from Seminole County High School in 1964 with honors. She was an honor graduate of ABAC and graduated from The University of Georgia 1968 with a BS in Family and Consumer Sciences.
Mrs. Dutton was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church of Albany. She taught the Second Grade Sunday School Class, taught a non-denominational Bible Class and was involved with the G A' S for many years. Mrs. Dutton was also a Georgia 4-H volunteer leader most of her adult life.
Survivors include her husband, Bob Dutton, her children and their spouses, Hope and Brannon White and Mike and Heather Dutton and her grandchildren, Fletcher White, Faith White, Felicity White and Flint White all of Albany, GA. Survivors also include special adopted grandchildren, Amanda Joy Horsley Wilson, Michael Horsley, Sara Horsley Armstrong, Nathan Edwards, Shelby Edwards and many others.
The family received friends Monday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
