Joseph Allan Reeder

Mr. Joseph A. Reeder, 84, died on April 20, 2018, at Wynfield Park in Albany. Private burial will be held at a later date. No formal services will be held. The remains have been cremated.

Mr. Reeder was born December 24, 1933, in Clio, Alabama. Mr. Reeder grew up and attended schools in Eufaula, Alabama, and was a graduate of Troy State University. He served 4 years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. He retired from American Express. He was a former member of the Albany Jaycees and was a life member and corporation manager for over 30 years of Elks Lodge 713.

Mr. Reeder was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Aulsie Reeder, and 8 brothers and sisters, and survived by his wife of almost 64 years, Mary Snead Reeder; daughter Mary E. Hoffman and husband Dale of Las Vegas, NV; son Joseph Allan Reeder, Jr., and wife Brenda of Albany, GA; 4 grandchildren, Jason Hoffman and wife Sarah of Las Vegas, NV; Joseph, Samuel, and Sally Reeder of Albany, GA; and 3 great-grandchildren, Emma, Abbigail, and Juliette Hoffman of Las Vegas, NV.

The family would like to thank the staff at Wynfield Park who have assisted us in the last 2 years for their kindness.
