Joseph L. McDonald

Joseph L. (Suga Bear) McDonald was born February 27, 2001 to Ms. Angelina K. Benton and Mr. Joseph Lopez McDonald in Albany, GA. Joseph was a sixth grade student at Shiloh Middle School in Gwinnett County; he was active in the Royals Little League at Gillespie Park. He loved to fish. Whenever he visited his grandmother, he would always ask, "When are we go fishing?"

On September 15, 2013, Joseph leaves to cherish his memories to a loving father, Joseph L. McDonald, two brothers, Quindathion Baldwin and Jacobe McDonald; two sisters, Keyunshay McDonald and Queambria Benton; in which all are of Albany, GA; two grandmothers, Angela G. Benton and Earnestine McDonald; grandfather, Edward Charles (Chuck) Benton and his wife Santonja Benton of Jonesboro, GA. Survivors also include, three aunts, Bridgett Benton, Sylina Benton and Tarsha Medlock; and an uncle, Tracy Benton of Ashville, NC; and a host of cousins, recognized best friend Jarod Holsey, and friends. Along with his mother, Angelina Benton and his godbrother, Raynard Daniel, Suga Bear went to be with his Lord in Heaven. His family will truly miss his winning smile and pleasing ways.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Greenbriar Church. Pastor Charlie Dilliard will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, September 22, 2013 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
