Joseph D. Garner, Sr

Joseph D. Garner Sr., 76 of Albany, died on Friday May 20, 2016, at home after long fight with cancer.

Memorial service will be 2 PM Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the Parrott Baptist Church Officiated by Pastor David Martin and Pastor Joseph D. Garner III. There will be a reception in the fellowship hall following the service.

Mr. Garner was born April 17th 1940 in Paulding County Georgia, 3rd child of Judson and Louvinie Garner. He was married Jackie Crowder Garner from November 17th 1973 until death. He attended Jonesboro High School and was a Sales Representative for Atlanta Dental Supply Company 1959 to 2010. He lived in, Atlanta, Columbus, Parrott, and Albany Georgia. Enjoyed flying, golf, camping, fishing, hunting, and the outdoors and was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and Experimental Aircraft Association

Survived by wife Jackie Crowder Garner, Albany, children: David and wife Jeannine, Rick and wife Melissa, Mark and wife Carol, Dennis and wife Kim, and Shanna Cook, grandchildren: Joseph and wife Rebekah, Rick, Phillip and wife Marissa, Crystal, Zachary, Jacob, Candace, Judson, Jackson, and Zoe, great-grandchildren: Kaleb, Catherine, JD, Titus, Trinity, and Julian, Brother: Dwayne Garner, mother-in-law Mae, Sisterâ€"in-law Helen, brother-in-law Robert, nieces and nephews; Ronald, Patricia, Donald Jr, Tim, Steve, Connie.
