John Todd Whitfield

John Todd Whitfield, 47, of Albany, GA, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016. A memorial service to honor and remember Todd's life will be held on Saturday, July 30th, 2016 beginning 11:00 am at the Chapel at Mathews Funeral Home in Albany. Mr. Ross Powell will officiate.
Mr. Whitfield originally grew up and attended school in Dothan, Alabama. He honorably served in the United States Marine Corps and was an Operation Desert Storm veteran. He additionally served in Norway and Camp Lejeune, NC. Todd is fondly remembered not only by those who knew him during his employment at the Dothan, AL Jet Center, and later as an FAA certified Airframe & Powerplant mechanic at the Dawson, GA airport; but also by his co-workers at Thrush Aircraft, Inc. in Albany, GA where he was employed for the past several years.
Todd will be remembered by his many friends as a caring, quiet man. He was preceded in death by his parents John G. Whitfield and Gretchen Whitfield of Dothan. He is survived by a brother, James Whitfield of Wellington, New Zealand.
