John Anthony Duke

John Anthony (Tony) Duke, 35, of Albany, GA, died April 2, 2016 at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Eastview Cemetery in Shellman, GA. Pastor Bruce Pittman will officiate.

A native of Albany, GA, Tony was raised in Albany and Ft. Gaines. He graduated from Randolph County High School in 1998, attended Albany Technical College majoring in automotive collision repair and was employed with Wal-Mart. He accepted Christ into his life, was baptized and became a member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church of Leary in July, 2001. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Boyd Duke.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, John and Patricia Duke of Shellman, GA, two sisters and their husbands, Pam and Cleve Taylor of Leesburg, GA and Sheila and Michael Watson of Valdosta, GA, his maternal grandmother, Wada Boyd of Dawson, GA, his ex-wife, Shedezwa (Duke) Jackson of Albany, GA, his step-children, Z'Savella Duke, Bei'Sharaquandrane Jackson, Shadobrecario Jackson, Taredeko Jackson, Abbragale Jackson and Kyzell Duke, his nieces and nephews, Tiffany Taylor, Tyler Taylor, Braylyn Williams, Madison Williams, John Micheal Castleberry, Candice Harris, Cayla Shultz and Wesley Wells, Jr. and numerous Aunts and Uncles.

The family will be at the residence of Pam and Cleve Taylor, 212 Jarrett Drive, Leesburg, GA, 31763.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Mathews Funeral Home.
