Joel Merrill Eubanks

Joel Merrill Eubanks, 70, of Lee Co., GA passed away Thursday. July 21, 2022 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 25, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Byne Memorial Baptist Church. Dr. Keithen Tucker and Rev. Mark Jackson will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery, Albany, GA.

Born in Albany, GA, Mr. Eubanks was a man of integrity and faith. He was a loving son,  devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. All that knew him loved him. He loved the Lord, his family and his work and was a loyal and honest salesman for Carlton Co/ Thompson Tractor for thirty-seven years and was loved and respected by co-workers and customers alike. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing and golf and all things outdoors. He was a loyal friend.

Mr. Eubanks was preceded in death by his parents, Merrill William Eubanks and Hazel Lorraine Godfrey Eubanks and a nephew, Stan Akridge.

Survivors include his wife, Marcia Rudderman Eubanks, Lee Co., GA, a son, Ryan J. Eubanks (Mallory), Tifton, GA, daughters, Amanda Barfield (Gene). Lee Co., GA, Holly Azimi (Maro), Lee Co., GA, sister, Pam Akridge (Garvin), Dothan, AL, grandchildren, Gage, Chloe, Abby, Preston, Macey, Weston, Layla, Audrey and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home and also on Monday (July 25, 2022) from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at Byne Memorial Baptist Church.
