Joanne Cowart Frantz

Joanne Cowart Frantz, 85, of Albany, Ga passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025. Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Sherwood Baptist Church, Albany, GA. Rev. Mark Scardino and Mr. Ross Powell will officiate.

A longtime member of Sherwood Baptist Church, Joanne was dedicated to her faith and an active member of Ruth's Shining Light Sunday School group, where she found joy in fellowship and service. She was an avid reader, always immersed in a good book, and had a love for playing cards with family and friends. Her warm spirit, kindness, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Mrs. Frantz was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen Cowart and Louella Tiner Cowart, her siblings, Jerry Cowart, Wayne Cowart, Billie Kirksey and a son Steve Frantz.

Survivors include her husband, Harold William Frantz a son, Michael Frantz both of Albany, GA, daughter-in-law, Sherry M. Frantz, Sylvester, GA, sister-laws, Margaret Cowart, Hanceville, AL, Brenda Cowart, Leesburg, GA, grandchildren, Ashley (Gavin) Lamon (Kurt) and Bryan Frantz (Hannah) both of Leesburg, GA, Rachel Frantz, Sylvester, great-grandchildren, Blake Frantz ,Blaine Frantz, Gavin Lamon and Gracie Lamon all of Leesburg GA.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and faith that will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know her.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour in the atrium of Sherwood Baptist Church.
