Jimmy Wayne Thompson

Jimmy Wayne Thompson, Sr., 65, of Leesburg, GA died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Leesburg Cemetery. Rev. Tom Howard will officiate.

Born in Aragon, GA, Mr. Thompson had resided in Albany, GA before moving to Leesburg, GA in 1990. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the Army, formerly employed with Bagdad Tires and the Rio Warehouse and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Addison Thompson, Leesburg, GA, a son, Jimmy Wayne Thompson, Jr. both of Leesburg, GA, two daughters, Tracy Rossow (Carl), Acworth, GA, Renee Thompson (Ben), Lee Co., GA, four grandchildren, Alora Thompson, Madison Rossow, Elizabeth Thompson, Lillyan Rossow and a great-granddaughter, Braelyn Payne.

The family is at the residence of Renee and Ben Thompson, 1300 Lovers Lane Rd., Leesburg, GA.
