Jimmy L. McCrary, 83, of Albany, GA went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Pruitt Health and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Lakeside Baptist Church. Rev. Ken Chancellor will officiate. Entombment will follow in Crown Hill Mausoleum.

Born in Pinehurst, GA, Mr. McCrary had resided in Albany, GA since 1963. Jimmy, known to most as “Jim”, loved the Lord, his family, and his country. His hobbies included fishing, gardening vegetables, and working in his yard. He loved history of our nation, reminiscing of things back in the day and airplanes. He took pride in his service as a US Navy pilot and always enjoyed the opportunity to attend an Air Show at surrounding military bases. He loved to lend a hand in the kitchen, cooked an awesome pot of Brunswick stew, and the BEST fried fish ever!

Jimmy was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his parents, Augustus Ray McCrary and Nellie Cross McCrary.

Survivors include his wife, Joanne McCrary, Albany, GA, three sons, George Keith McCrary (Jill), Albany, GA, Kimball Ray McCrary, Oxford, NC, Marshall Jay McCrary, Braselton, GA, three daughters, Terri Lynn Warren (Mike), Valdosta, GA, Robin Gay Jones, Fitzgerald, GA, Vickie Diane Smith (Terry), Zebulon, GA, a sister, Marleen Ellis, Alpharetta, GA, seventeen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday one hour prior to the services at Lakeside Baptist Church.
