Jimmy Deese

Jimmy Deese passed away at age 72 on Friday, November 27, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. Jason Steege will officiate.  Jimmy was born in 1948 in Dothan, Alabama to J.P and Grace Deese. He graduated from Dougherty High School in 1967 and Darton College in 1969. Mr. Deese has been retired from Core Mark for the past three years where he worked in sales.  Jimmy was loved by everyone that knew him, his smile, compassion for others and kindness were contagious. He loved his family and was a friend that could always be counted on. Jimmy was passionate about sports, especially football and basketball, he enjoyed attending the games and watching them on T.V. He also enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia and reading. He was preceded in death by his wife Janine Deese, his father J.P. Deese and brother Ronnie Deese.  Survivors include his son Shane Deese and his wife Sharon of Newnan, GA., a grandson Cody Deese of Savannah, GA., his mother Grace Deese, a brother Danny Deese and his wife Michelle, a sister Judy Glass and her husband Don all of Worth County, GA., Nephews, Chance Glass and his wife Jennifer and their children Levi and Zeke, Zachary and Tyler and a niece Kelly.  Those desiring may make donations in memory of Jimmy to The Dog Park, 2908 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31721.
