Jimmy Julius Bowles, Jr.

Jimmy Julius Bowles, Jr., 63, of Albany, GA, died September 25, 2023 at his residence.  Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 3:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.  Pastor Ben Steffens will officiate.

Jimmy was born in Albany, GA on July 2, 1960 to Jimmy and Delores Bowles, Sr.  He grew up on The Graham Angus Farm and attended Albany High School.  After High School, Jimmy was employed at Graham Angus Farm with his father before being employed in the Automotive Repair Business for twenty-one years, then returning to Graham Angus Farm.

Jimmy enjoyed fishing, dove hunting, riding horses and especially spending time with his family.  Jimmy returned to Graham Angus Farm and again worked with his father becoming the Assistant Manager, where he worked cattle.

Survivors include his children, Jay (Tammy) Bowles and B.J. (Tiffany) Bowles all of Lee County, GA, his parents, Jimmy and Delores Bowles, Sr., six grandchildren, Blakelyn Bowles, Harrison Strickland, Anna Claire Strickland and Ella Brown all of Lee County, GA, Maya Crain of Albany, GA, Rylend Crain of Lee County, GA, long-time companion and friend, Lynn Warren, a brother Steve (Wanda) Bowles, nephew Jason Bowles, and Great Nephew Gauge, and his dog and companion, Boo Boo.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until the time of service at Mathews Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial donations in memory of Jimmy Bowles to American Parkinsons Disease Association, Georgia Chapter, PO Box 2287, Loganville, GA 30052 or to The Albany Humane Society, 1705 W. Oakridge Drive, Albany, GA 31707.
