Jimmie Gordon Haire, 71, of Albany, GA died Saturday, December 9, 2017 at his residence. Memorial services will be held Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Fulford will officiate. Born in Albany, GA to Henry and Barbara Clark Haire, Jimmie was a life-long resident of Albany, graduating from Albany High School in 1964. He retired as the manager of Bob White Rents after a thirty-seven year career with the company, and was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church and was currently attending Free Life Church. Mr. Haire was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Z. Pendleton Haire, three brothers, Richard Wade Haire and his wife Joyce, Charles Russell Haire, and Bobby Ray Haire. Survivors include his son, Jeff Haire and his wife Angie, Lee County, GA, his step-daughter, Brittany Carter, Baconton, GA, his step-son, Brian Jasper and his wife Taunya, Shelbyville, KY, and a daughter, Connie of Arkansas, his brothers, William Raymond Haire (Denise), Nashville, TN, Byron Lee Haire, (Leone), Valdosta, GA, Donald Haywood Haire, (Anne), Sylvester, GA, his sisters-in-law, Roberta Haire, Cecil Haire, his grandchildren, Mackenzie Singleton (Tyler), Cherry Point, NC, Mackenzie is seven months pregnant with Chelsea James, Madisyn Haire, San Antonio, TX, Zackary Sanderson, Sarah Sanderson, both of Lee County, GA, Michael Jasper, Christian Jasper, both of Louisville, KY, Taylor Jones, Albany, GA, Carter Esquibel, Baconton, GA, Lily Jasper, Shelbyville, KY, and his great granddaughter, Raegan Jasper. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
