Jerry Young Dodgen, Jr.

The funeral service of Jerry Young Dodgen, Jr., who died on July 7, 2018,
will be conducted on July 11, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.  Rev. Charlie Rouse will officiate.  Tri County Memorial Club will provide Masonic Rites and a private interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Dawson.

Jerry, a native of Albany, was born on July 12, 1936.  He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and a member of Chehaw Lodge #701 F & AM in Leesburg, Ga. During his 43 years of membership, he served as Secretary of the Lodge from 1975-2013; was awarded Emeritus Status in 2012; and served as Junior Warden in 2014.

He was employed with the Lilliston Corporation; rotating manager for the five Martin Theaters; and provided long time security services in Albany for Dr. J. T. Cooper.

Jerry was proceeded in death by his father, mother, and brother: Jerry Y Dodgen, Sr., Ruth Hanson Dodgen, and Carl H. Dodgen. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Marguerite Lane Dodgen; daughter, Deanna M. Mosley and husband, James; Grandsons, Dolan Ernest Mosley and Brant Young Mosley; granddaughter in-law, Cheyenne; and great-grand daughter, Mia Marguerite. Also, left behind is his beloved four legged family. He will be missed.

The family will receive friends at Mathews Funeral Home one hour prior to the funeral service.
