Jennie Pearl Morrell

Jennie Pearl Morrell, 85, of Albany, GA, formerly of Marietta, GA died Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Billy D. Hanna and Rev. Mike Woods will officiate. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pelham, GA.

Born in Cotton, GA, Mrs. Morrell had resided in Marietta, GA for a number of years before moving to Albany, GA twelve years ago. She was retired from the Lockheed Corporation and was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Travis Jarome Morrell, Jr. her parents, Percy Curles and Sadie Glenn Curles, four sisters, Ellen McLeod, Margaret Miller, Myra Curles and Hilda Bullock and two brothers, Buck Curles and Jerry Curles.

Survivors include two daughters, Sherry Morrell McLeod (Travis), Albany, GA, Diane Morrell Ritter (Raymond), Stafford, VA, two sons, Tommy Morrell Donna), Rock Hill, SC, Buzzy Morrell (Susie), Marietta, GA, four sisters, Catherine Banks, Virginia Beach, VA, Mary Hart, Pelham, GA, Phyllis Grizzle (Louie), Sugar Hill, GA, Glenda Hill (Jim), Leesburg, GA, eight grandchildren, Suzanne Spiczak, Albany, GA, Michael Morrell (Kelli), Dallas, GA, Scott Morrell (Emily), Villa Rica, GA, Trampas McLeod (Kathy), Dallas, GA, Brad Morrell (Jinni), Kennesaw, GA, Ashleigh Twedt (Chris), Fort Mills, SC, Elyse Hanna (Naja), Valdosta, GA, Camille Swain (Mark), Stafford, VA and fifteen great-grandchildren.

The family is at the residence of Travis and Sherry McLeod, 2111 Stanley Dr., Albany, GA, 31721 and will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
