Jeffrey Lee Cato, 63, of Newton, died Monday, July 29, 2024 at the Willson Hospice House.
His funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, August 2, 2024 at Mathews Funeral Home with interment at 2:00 PM at Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Miller County.
Born in Albany, Mr. Cato had lived in Newton for the past 50 years and was a graduate of Baker County High school. He served his country serving in the U. S. Army and retiring from MCLB with a combined time of forty years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Barney and Mina Lee Cato, sister Alice “Sis” Jackson and brother Jimmy Cato.
Survivors include his wife, Renee Denby Cato, son Matthew Cato (Courtney), daughter, Lacey Cato (Ben Washington), grandchildren, Cohen Lee Phillips, Benji Railyn Washington, Evie Grace Cato and brother Buck Cato.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Mathews Funeral Home.
