Jeffrey Wayne Hood

Jeffrey Wayne Hood, 61, of Albany, GA passed away, Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at his residence. Memorial services will be conducted Friday, May 5, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Anna Miller will officiate.

Born in Albany, GA, Jeff was a graduate of Dougherty High School and Albany Technical School. He was a meat cutter at numerous markets in the Albany area the last being Harvey’s Supermarket. He enjoyed watching and attending NASCAR races, playing softball, and the annual family beach trip.

Jeff especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved supporting his nieces and nephews in all of their endeavors and they all loved Uncle Jeff or as he was fondly known as Mr. Wikipedia. He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. Hood and Martha Christine Lewis Hood.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Hood, siblings, Mary Stewart (Ted), Dot Owens and Donald Hood (Melanie) all of Albany, GA, brothers- in-law, Greg Price (Cindy), Charlotte, NC, Brad Price (Christine), Palmetto, FL, nieces and nephews, Christy Wilkerson, Tiffany Crittenden, Dawson Owens, Tine Jones, Kelli Brackin, Brandon Hood, Brittney Price, Ashley Price and Steven Price, and several great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make donations in memory of Jeffrey Wayne Hood, to your favorite charity.

The family will receive friends following the service.
