Jeffery Charles (Jeff) Cook

Jeffery Charles (Jeff) Cook, 38, of Lee County, GA, died March 31, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday April 3, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Brian Marchant will officiate. Interment will follow at Leesburg Cemetery.

A native of Albany, GA, Jeff grew up in Lee County, GA and graduated from Lee County High School in 1996. While at Lee County High School, Jeff played football and baseball and still holds the record for the lowest pitching ERA. He was formerly employed with Albany W, G & L and Georgia Power. Jeff was currently employed with Electric City of Georgia as a trainer. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and coached Recreational and Travel Ball for six years.

Survivors include his wife, Tiffany Sheffield Cook, his children, Amber Cook, Baileigh Cook and Ty Cook, his parents, Charles and Teresa Cook and Jackie and Ed McClendon and his sister, Jennifer Heath and her husband, Karl all of Lee County, GA and his grandmother, Louvine Adams of Plains, GA.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday at Mathews Funeral Home.
