Jeanne F. Wells

Jeanne F. Wells of Albany, GA, died Sunday, February 15, 2015. Formal funeral services will not be held as per her wishes, but a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.

Born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, Ms. Wells lived in many cities throughout her life before settling in Albany, GA in 1975. She worked as a cashier at Publix for fourteen years before retiring in 2009. She previously worked in the food service industry and became friends with many customers and co-workers throughout her life. She enjoyed gardening, reading and had an immense love for animals of all kinds.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lionel Fontaine and Aurora Fontaine.

Survivors include a brother, Normand Fontaine of Clifton Springs, Victoria, Australia, three daughters, Cheryl Lynne Wells of Sylvester, GA, Peggy Sue Bessolo and husband Joe of Alva, FL, Melissa Renee Ross and husband Charlie of Leesburg, GA, and a son, Daniel Charles Wells and wife Michelle of Spanish Fort, AL. Other survivors include five grandchildren, Robert F. Morris Jr., Samantha Jo Bessolo, Trista Atkinson, Anthony J. Bessolo and Allison R. Ross, two step grandchildren Timothy Goolsby and Katie Goolsby and seven great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to local humane societies. Thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.
