Jeanette Joyce Penberthy

Jeanette Joyce Penberthy, 72, of Albany, GA, died October 5, 2017 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.  Graveside funeral services will be held Monday at 12:00 noon at Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.  Pastor Jason Spears will officiate.

A native of Green Cove Springs, FL, Jeanette was born to the late Fred and Evelyn Lynch. She was raised in New Smyrna Beach, FL and graduated from New Smyrna Beach High School in 1963.  She graduated from Daytona Beach Junior College and moved to Albany, GA in 1970.  Jeanette owned and operated Miss Nett’s Play School for twenty five years.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Albany and was the Director of the Baby Department for many years.  Jeanette was currently attending Providence Church.

Jeanette was preceded in death by a sister, Bunny Roesel, she is survived by her children, Jerry (Laura) Penberthy of Leesburg, GA and Michele (John) Lay of Atlantic Beach, FL, two sisters, Barbara (Billy) Dillon of Destin, FL and Trisha (Steve) Hardin of Cobb County, GA and five grandchildren, Jacob Penberthy, Jaycie Lay, Adyn Penberthy, Joshua Lay and Elena Penberthy.
