Jeanette Harvey Collins

Jeanette Harvey Collins, 85, of Albany, GA, passed away peacefully at her residence. The family will have a memorial service at a later date.

Jeanette was born on March 26, 1938 in Worth County to the late G.T. Harvey and Abbie Owens Harvey and was raised in the close-knit community of Hopeful, GA. She also attended school there. 

Jeanette devoted over twenty years of civil service to the Marine Corps Logistic Base, and she retired from her position in 1993. Family held a special place in Jeanette's heart. She adored her children and grandchildren dearly, and their well-being was always at the forefront of her thoughts. Jeanette held a deep passion for working with flowers and gardening. Her green thumb appeared to possess an innate ability to breathe life into plants, creating vibrant and enchanting gardens that were a joy to behold. She attended Amazing Grace Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Collins, her brothers, Alvin and Walter Harvey.

Jeanette is survived by her loving husband of thirty-six years, Raymond Foxworth Jr., son Ricky Collins (Susan), daughter Robie Tucker (David) all of Albany, GA, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, sister Wilma Dubose and her adopted sister, Barbara.
