Jeaneane Carol Frazier Law, 85, of Dawson, Georgia, peacefully passed away on December 30, 2023, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Dawson United Methodist Church. Interment will follow to Cedar Hill Cemetery. Rev. Allen Carmichael will officiate.
Born on December 12, 1938, in Cuthbert, Georgia, to the late Richard and Kathryn Hill Frazier and was raised in Dawson, GA. Jeaneane received her education from Terrell High School where she graduated in 1956. She further pursued her academic endeavors by attending a Technical School in Albany, Georgia.
Jeaneane's professional journey was marked by her unwavering commitment to public service. She dedicated over forty years to the United States Postal Service and worked in several towns throughout her career. Her final post was as postmaster in Sasser, Georgia. Jeaneane's dedication and hard work left an indelible mark on the communities she served.
Outside of her professional life, Jeaneane was a woman of many passions and joys. She had an immense love for the Atlanta Braves. Additionally, she found great joy in shopping but above all cherished the precious moments spent with her beloved grandchildren and great grands. Their presence brought immeasurable happiness to Jeaneane's life.
Jeaneane was a lifelong member of Dawson United Methodist Church. She actively participated within the church community where she found solace and purpose. As a member of the Bessie Hoots Sunday School Class, Jeaneane engaged with fellow believers and cultivated lasting friendships. Additionally, she selflessly served with the bereavement committee and was an invaluable member of the United Methodist Women's organization.
Jeaneane is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, J.W. Law Sr., her daughter, Julie Law Senn (Tim), and her sons, John Walter "Jay" Law Jr. (Charlotte) and Allen Kirk Law (Dodie). Grandchildren, Kyle Frazier Law (Bobbie Kaie), Mary Kathryn Law, Carly Law Rice (Trae), Dylan Law, Justin Hancock (Becky), Nick Hancock, and Eric Senn. Her six great-grandchildren, Kaia Law, Weston Rice, Braxton Hancock, Nikki Hancock, Tucker Hancock, and Kellen Hancock.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Dawson United Methodist Church from 10:00 AM until funeral hour.
The family kindly ask that no live cut flowers or house plants for the service due to family illness, if you wish to send flowers, please make sure they are artificial flowers or please make memorials to the Dawson United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 167, Dawson, GA 39842
