Jean Anne Markert

Jean A. Markert, 81, of Dawson, GA, formerly of Albany, GA, died Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Dawson Manor Nursing Home. Private family services were held at Andersonville National Cemetery.

A native of Stambough, MI, Mrs. Markert was the office manager at Dr. Douglas Kahler, DDS and a member of St. Teresa’s Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by parents, John A. and Mae McGinnity Nemick and her husband, Kenneth A. Markert.

Survivors include, three sons, Kevin J. Markert and his wife, Michele of Milwaukee, WI, Robert S. Markert and his wife, Denise of Bronwood, GA and James R. Markert and his wife, Holly of Macon, GA, a sister, Barb Durben of Fondulak, WI, eight grandchildren, Tyler Markert, Autumn Lanew, Brandon Markert, Chad Markert, Preston Markert, Nolan Markert, Clayton Markert, Katie Markert and two great-grandchildren, Abby and Gage Lanew.
