Janie Sheffield Duffy

Janie Syble Duffy, 84, of Lee County, GA, died Monday, June 18, 2018 at her residence. Memorial services will be held Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Raymond G. Levreault will officiate.

A native of Colquitt, GA, Mrs. Duffy was born to Seth Howard Sheffield and Mollie Estelle Mock Sheffield. Mrs. Duffy graduated from Albamy High School and was employed at Westover High School as the principal’s secretary for a number years. She attended St. Teresa’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Edward P. “Ed” Duffy, Sr. of Lee County, GA, his children, Paul Duffy and his wife, Brenda and Terri Duffy Kerrey all of Bronwood, GA, six grandchildren, Brook House, Ryan Duffy, Kaley Duffy, Kari Duffy, Haley Kerrey and Morgan Kerrey and four great-grandchildren, Berklie Duffy, Henley Duffy, Seth Duffy and Jace House.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
