Janice B. Morgan

Janice Barfield Morgan, 72, of Albany, GA, died Monday, February 4, 2013 at Willson Hospice House. Memorial services will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Mr. Walter Ross will officiate.

A native and lifelong resident of Albany, GA, Mrs. Morgan was born to the late, Kim and Evelyn Barfield. She along with her late husband, Joel Morgan were the owners of Morgan Catering and were managers of Radium Country Club. Mrs. Morgan had been employed with Merry Acres Restaurant for many years and devoted her life to her family.

Survivors include her sons and their wives, Brian and Benita Morgan of Sandestin, FL, Joey and Susan Morgan of Leesburg, GA and Todd and Kristi Morgan of TyTy, GA, her grandchildren, Presley Morgan, Kyler Morgan, Sierra Justice, Chandler Davis and Piper Morgan all of Albany, GA, T. A. Morgan, Jr., Brandon Morgan and Tara Morgan all of Atlanta, GA, Hannah Abad of TyTy, GA and Victoria Goodman and her husband, Kyle and their children, Madison Goodman and Raelyn Goodman all of Anchorage, AK, two sisters, Delaine Townsend of Albany, GA and Debra Smith and a brother, Carlos Salter of Worth County, GA. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Delaine Morgan, a grandson, Ben-Jaye Morgan and a sister, Shirley Crosby.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home.
