Janet Edith Bailey

Janet Edith Bailey, 68, of Camilla, GA formerly of Leesburg, died November 3, 2014 at Pruitt Health-Sylvester.

A native of Wallingford, CT, born to the late Eugene and Paulene Appel, Mrs. Bailey moved to Albany, GA from Jacksonville, FL in 1980, to Leesburg, GA and then to Camilla, GA. She was retired from Tyndall Air Force Base where she served as the secretary to the 2nd Flight Squad Commander. Mrs. Bailey was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Camilla and was a member of The Order of The Eastern Star for thirty years. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Lavon Darby.

Survivors include her husband, Everett C. Bailey, Jr. of Camilla, GA, five children, Everett C. Bailey, III and his wife, Tracie of Bogart, GA, Dennise Michelle Biggs of Portsmouth, VA, Rachel Carolyn Buelow of Waukesha, WI, Raymond David Maier of Sylvester, GA and Connie Irene Knowles and her husband, Charles of Elijay, GA, three brothers and their wives, Warren and Marianne Appel of Ft. Pierce, FL, Roger and Susan Appel of Sheridan, WY and David and Susan Appel of Maine, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
